Psycho-educational Evaluations

Psycho-educational testing provides a comprehensive evaluation of a child’s intellectual and academic abilities to gain insight into an individual’s unique learning profile. Gaining an accurate understanding of cognitive, developmental, and emotional functioning provides direction toward the most effective interventions, greater self-acceptance, and compassion.

The Process

1

INITAL INQUIRY

Every individual is different. Contact us to discuss your concerns and goals for the evaluation process. We will help determine whether a comprehensive psychoeducational assessment is the appropriate next step and ensure the process is tailored to your needs.

3

FOLLOW-UP SESSION

Within approximately two weeks of completing testing, a detailed written report and summary will be provided. We will then schedule a follow-up meeting to review findings, answer questions, and discuss next steps. It’s empowering to understand one’s strengths, embrace neurodiversity, and gain clear guidance on how to move forward with confidence.

2

TESTING SESSION

The assessment process usually involves two to three in-person sessions, which can be adjusted based on your child’s age and needs. Along with testing, we gather background information, speak with caregivers and teachers, and use behavior rating scales to gain a well-rounded understanding of your child’s strengths and areas of need.
