Psychological Counseling

Direct psychological counseling services are available for pre-teens, adolescents, and young adults.  I use a cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) approach that consists of: empathy, identifying the thoughts that trigger our emotions, positive reframing, and specific methods to defeat negative thinking. If you can change the way you think, you can change the way you feel!  I also have a strong background and interest in social thinking concepts, which I embed into counseling as appropriate to support clients as they build greater cognitive flexibility and social perspective taking.
